Paul Purcell, a former restaurant industry professional, founded InfoQuest International. Starting as a licensed private investigation agency in 1998, InfoQuest handled various cases such as fraud, theft, and missing persons. Recognizing the need for organization, Paul adopted a more structured approach to his investigations to avoid confusion and improve efficiency. He began creating a series of forms and documents that would help with the types of investigations InfoQuest was tasked with working. The goal was that when a client called, all that was needed was to "click print" and the appropriate documents would be ready and would include everything from a case or job intake form, complete with client information, through the detailed questions needed to start the case, all the way to the final checklist that would make sure the case had been properly concluded.
Paul's increased workload and improved professional image led to requests for and suggestions to market his case management system. In 1999, he launched "The Case File" for investigators and "The Attorney Case File" for attorneys, aiming to enhance professionalism and quality at an affordable price.
In 2001, InfoQuest International expanded to include publications, education, and investigative services. Paul contributed vulnerability studies to various organizations after 9/11, including the FAA, CDC, 2001 World Series Games, 2002 Winter Olympics, and 2002 Super Bowl. Paul also served as a volunteer civilian security analyst for the DeKalb County Office of Homeland Security. Inspired by these experiences, Paul wrote Disaster Prep 101, a comprehensive guide to disaster preparedness, in 2015. Since then, Paul has traveled, lectured, consulted, and continued contributing to public safety, covering topics such as family readiness, counter-terrorism planning, and pandemic influenza preparedness.
